The Royal Wedding - How To Avoid Huge Hotel Bills

Ever since it was announced that April 29 is when the second in line to the British throne and his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton are to be married in Westminster Abbey, hotels and travel agents have been inundated with requests for rooms.

Almost all the London Hotels are boosting prices by up to 200 per cent as tourists arrange their stays for the Royal wedding. Rates for Double room are from £200 - £600 per night.

As well as an influx of foreign visitors, there is demand from residents in Britain taking advantage of an extra bank holiday turning the May Day weekend into a four day holiday.

Instead of paying these exorbitant rates, choose a hotel within an easy commute of London and pay just £60 - £100 per night for great accommodation. If you are flying into Gatwick for example, you can stay at one of the Gatwick Guest Houses who will pick you up from the airport when you arrive. You can travel direct from Horley to London Victoria in 40 minutes. A day ticket which covers your return journey and any tubes or buses in London all day, cost just £12.50.

It is only one stop on the underground from Victoria to Green Park where a 5 minute stroll will take you to The Mall where you will see the happy couple returning from Westminster Abbey on their way to Buckingham Palace.

When you return at night you will look forward to staying in the quiet town of Horley away from the hustle and bustle of London. Why not make the most of your visit and go sight seeing in London over the weekend or visit Brighton with its many attractions including The Royal Pavillion.

See the Royal Wedding without breaking the bank, stay in Horley.
